12 Days of Christmas Crafting - Day 4 Christmas Body Scrub

After a looong day of decorating, baking, shopping, wrapping, kid wrangling, entertaining and general holiday rushing, what you need is an equally long foot rub! Our good friend Karlie showed us how to make this lovely and sweet exfoliant for just such an occasion. Start off with a little Jar. You can get cute and cheap ones at the dollar store. Make a holiday tag if you want too, and tie it on with a ribbon.
Get some raw sugar, the kind that is not for baking. It's more coarse and will really do a great job of exfoliating. this can be found at the bulk barn. I believe this is organic cane sugar.

Pour 3/4 of a cup of coarse sugar into a bowl.
Add 1/3 of a cup of canola oil.
Mix it all together. Now here comes the fun part! Add the scented oils. There are so many great ones to choose from! You can get little bottles from Michael's and trust me, they pack a punch. I found that four drops was sufficient but if you prefer a stronger smell, by all means stink it up! I added vanilla and apple. It ended up creating a delicate pear scent. Mmmmm : )

Spoon the whole thing into your jar and Voila!

Here is a beautifully scented body scrub. So give your self a break at some point and make your feet smell awesome and feel soft! And if your feeling extra generous, you can share with your friends too!
Happy Creating, Meaghan, Monica and Nancy
